The brief
The opportunity was to define a private estate concept that could balance discretion, restorative programming, and premium hospitality expectations without defaulting to a generic spa or resort model. The brief centred on creating a slower, more private form of wellness hospitality in Puglia, with the estate positioned for guests seeking meaningful recovery, extended stays, and a more residential relationship with place.
Cornerstone GR approach
Cornerstone GR approached the project as a fully formed hospitality proposition rather than a purely aesthetic wellness narrative. The work focused on aligning the estate plan, guest journey, programme structure, and brand direction so the concept could support premium pricing, operational coherence, and a distinctive market position within Southern Europeโs growing wellness travel segment.

What this concept needs
For a project of this kind, the development case depends on more than visual atmosphere. It requires a coherent operating model, a credible guest promise, and a clear understanding of how privacy, recovery, hospitality, and place can work together in practice.
Positioning rooted in place
Guest journey with operational logic
Wellness offer with commercial discipline
Privacy, recovery, and place-led hospitality
Editorial summary
A quieter model of luxury
The intended impression is one of calm authority rather than spectacle: a private estate where recovery, hospitality, and environment are brought into alignment with taste and practical judgment.
In hospitality terms, that means shaping the concept around who the guest is, why they come, how they move through the property, and what level of service, privacy, and programming the estate can sustain credibly. It also means resisting the tendency to overstate unverified claims or decorate the proposition with generic wellness language.
Wellness hospitality works best when the concept is as disciplined as the environment is beautiful. The guest promise, the programme, and the operating model all need to support one another.
Matthew Roffe, Founder, Cornerstone GR
For this project, that meant defining an estate experience built around privacy, restorative routines, indoor-outdoor living, and a measured service style suited to guests seeking recovery, reset, and time away from more performative luxury environments. The result is a concept positioned for a discerning international audience looking for longer-stay wellness experiences in Puglia, with the flexibility to serve both structured recovery programmes and quieter leisure-led stays.
